My name is Jordan Brough and this is my tenth year at GCA I coached the Women's team for the first six and am entering my fourth year as Men's coach. I started swimming rec league as a kid and kept competing all through high school.
By my Sophomore year I had realized my future in swimming would be in coaching and not competing. After high school I volunteered for two seasons as an assistant coach at my alma mater Mesquite High School. After serving a two year mission for my church I came home and started coaching right away as a paid Assistant at Mesquite for a year, followed by a year each at Perry, Queen Creek and Campo Verde.
In 2011, I got married to my beautiful wife Casey at which point I put my dreams of coaching on hold to get my degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State. We have three beautiful daughters Lindy (10), Jade (8), Blair (5) and a son Elliot who passed away due to a birth defect shortly after his birth.
This fall I will be starting my second year as a high school teacher at Gilbert Classical Academy, teaching 9th Grade English and Spanish I and II.
I am also a Realtor at Gentry Real Estate so if you are anyone you know is in the market for a new home I'd be happy to help out!
Go Spartans!
My name is Sara Munoz and this is my 3nd year officially coaching for GCA as the head coach of the Women’s team.
I have been married since 2004 and have 2 children and 3 dogs. I work full time as a paralegal/office manager for my family’s law firm. I have a bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies and a second in Film & Media Studies from Arizona State University.
My son Caleb graduated from GCA in 2021 and was a member of the swim team all 4 years of high school, as well as being the captain his junior and senior years. He continued his swimming career as a collegiate swimmer in Virginia (Randolph-Macon College) after graduation his first year. He swam there for one season before returning to Arizona to focus on his academics. He is now a Senior at Northern Arizona University where he is majoring in Criminology with a minor in Forensics and currently works for the Coconino County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Support Specialist.
My daughter Kellee graduated from Gilbert High School in 2023 and was a member of the swim team all 4 years of high school, as well as being captain her senior year. She also swam club swim year-round with Mesa Aquatics Club since the age of 8. She continued her swimming career as a collegiate swimmer in New York (Adelphi University) where she placed 8th her first year at her conference meet in the 1650. This year, she has retired from swimming and has returned home to attend the University of Arizona where she is a member of the Honors College and will be studying Pre-Medicine.
I look forward to working with all the athletes, both those returning who I know and new athletes who I look forward to getting to know.
